A Wife! I found a Wife!
A Wife! I found a Wife!
At long last, a wife!
Well, it seemed like it took forever, but Mom finally found me a wife she approved of. In the photo above, I was looking at her picture on the computer, and as you can tell by my tongue hanging out, I APPROVED too!
This all happened about 10 months ago, but I’ve been rather busy and haven’t had one moment to spare to write about it.
So, first the grandkids wanted to perform the wedding ceremony. As you can tell, I was a typical guy and just wanted it to be over, but
I must admit, Lucy looked quite fetching in
her purple veil. I actually liked my polka dot
bow tie, but you can hardly see it.
Lucy and I get along just great. We love to play
and Mom started bringing her with us on outings
so she could learn how to be a service dog too.
Lucy loves it as she never got to go out with
her previous family. I heard they had five kids -
so I understand - who would have time for taking dogs out if you’re taking care of five kids!
Well, we did the usual things you do in a marriage - if you get my drift - and before long (nine short weeks to be exact)
THIS is what happened!
Egads! Eight little aliens!
And only one looks like me!
Where did all these blondes come from??
Well, as you probably can guess, Lucy
and Mom became very busy and there
wasn’t much time for me. Wish I
could figure out how to draw a really
saaaad face on the computer...
But, as time went on, I became used to the new routine and most days I don’t even run from the little hooligans. I actually like sitting in on all of their training because I get treats too and many times I can show the babies how to do a particular task. Though admittedly it can be hard to see them struggle with something like pushing a door shut. Sometimes I can’t stand it and have to jump in and show them how to do something.
Mom has put together a nice little video on some of their training and next time, I’ll post that so you can see it. Be sure to watch all the way to the end, because I get to show off doing some of my service dog tasks!
