Though great fun, getting and caring for a service dog requires a
complete commitment from you. A service dog requires daily grooming, exercise, interactive play time and continued training. And there is the ongoing financial responsibility of feeding, professional grooming (hair trimming) and veterinary care. These expenses are estimated to be around $2,000/year for basic care.
Loving Angel has a beautiful indoor facility that allows training
to continue no matter the weather.
Classes will be held 1/week for six weeks (family pet training)
and for six months for Service Dogs.
Our training model is different from many others in that we do NOT use shock or "vibrate" collars. We use only positive reinforcement while utilizing a very scientifically designed layering system
where each skill is a building block for the next one.
We also teach how to build a trusting relationship with your dog rather than posturing as the "alpha".
Our goal is success of the partnership, and we have found
that this model is very effective.
Because we train "real" Service Dogs who have public access rights, if you are wanting to enter the Service Dog training, you will need to download, print and fill out the appropriate application below so we know that your needs fall within the Service Dog Guidelines as outlined in the 1990 ADA law.
